Anyone surely some knows what's going on ?

perhaps the rubber top mount that sits up underneath has perished leading it to pull through? worth a look mate :)

  • Author

I thought this bud so I took it off and the rubber mount is pretty loose and alot of slack compared to the tight fit the other side is

Anyone else before I order some bushes Is it something else ?

Have u assembled it coorcetly with the spacers on the coilovers there should be two tube spacers on the coilover above the first nut then the rubber that sit under the turret top then you have a nut the another rubber, and a nut then you have a top cup with a nut again. It should all be tight and sandwiching the turret inbetween the rubber top mounts the but poking through is the top isn't it? Just it's lifted up. Do you have the to cap?

  • Author

I'm confused here in the picture it looks as only one rubber is fitted there should be two with a nut and washer holding the lower one on then again on the top one. Then the cap with another nut. Compare it to the other side and see what's missing

Should it be like this

Right took both struts off both are set up the same accept the tube spacer was thinner so I put a thicker one on now they both feel firm with the rubber mount. So I set both up identical and it still pops through on the drivers side ? :(

  • Author

Or is it something with the actual strut ? I can push down on it and it will go down but then just pops back through again I just don't understand there both set up the same :/

U have the cup shape washer the wrong way around on the bottom rubber there should then be another of those washer on the tip rubber with nut then a big cup with another nut if it keeps popping through buy a new mount

  • Author

Isn't it just meant to be like this tho with no washer or cup shaped washer on. The bottom rubber mount

Surely a washer goes under the bottom bush or something to stop the rod from poking through

You have the rubbers the wrong way around the one in the first picture goes on the coilover with a cup washer and nut holding it then the one you have in a pic above goes inside the car again with cup washer and nut then the plate and nut

  • Author

So the big rubber goes inside the car ?

  • Author

Right I have a small rubber and big rubber. Two dome shaped washers and tube spacer can someone tell me how it's assembled ?

2 spacers then big rubber then cup washer and nut then fitt to car then small rubber cu washer and nut the big cup thing and a nut

2 spacers then big rubber then cup washer and nut then fitt to car then small rubber cu washer and nut the big cup thing and a nut

  • Author

There's only that spacer.

Okay so u have the coilover off then you have the silver top cap on top of the spring then u have a spacer then you have a nut this nut holds the space and top cap tight now you want to put the big rubber on slide right down till it sits on the silver top cap now ger a cup washer and nut and do them up. So now we can fit to the car. Get the small rubber on there and fit a cup washer and nut. Then finally get the saucer lookin thing on top with another nut. If the other side is fine just copy that side

Found the problem took the silver cap off and it was missing the washer underneath finally sorted cheers for you help :)
