Robharnett's 6n2 on air

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I recently bought a 6n2 cheap as a runabout as I didn't have a car and after only owning it a week I caught the 'veedub' bug haha. So after driving it around I decided I wanted a 6n2 and after looking about I resorted to the internet and I found myself on ebay.

So after travelling just near Maidstone to get the polo this is what I ended with. :)

anyone give me some advice on how to upload pictures correctly

So I decided that I need to make the car look more like my own instead of just buying a car done, as I turned up to prept and the first person I saw said 'is this the one off of ebay' lol. In my opinion I didn't like the bronze bump strips so they were the first things to go :)

Got my first visit to prept pretty much a few days after owning the car which very interesting, especially as the car was only a 1 litre haha :D

I then decided I wanted to get rid of all the bronze bits so the cage and the wheels were next.

I then got really bored of having the slowest car out of all my mates as I could keep up lol, so luckily enough one of my mates girlfriend had written off here gti so the was next on the shopping list and in it went :)

So after a week of changing over the whole wiring loom it worked haha (not that I was being a pessimist)

And that was the final result for about a week then...

I got bored of the paintwork being shocking so prep for my upcoming paint job has started. So along with having to replace the gearbox, as that went bang, all gti grilles have been fitted xenons have had new lens put on them fogs fitted and private plate put on :) and that up to date for now until the 26th when she goes in for paint :)

gearbox is all sorted now went to start it today and the car is so noisey as me and my mate made a proper sketchy exhaust for it haha, so couldn't drive it like that. Decided to order a cheap cat back for the time being as I'm rather skint at the mo, but while off the road still I decied to take the gti braked etc and fit them thos week so it actually stops. :D
