Booked in for paint next week, air tank will be send away for sand blasting and powder coated, new vinyl has been made up for the tank to make it stand out, currently in the middle of sorting the false floor for the car, and smoothed my front bump strip so it has no recess, will update with pictures when I have more free time.

And Heko wind deflectors.

Will update when car is back from paint and all the arches are smooth and identical each side

how do you go about doing the smooth recess bud? been wanting to do mine for a while now.

  • Author

i plastic welded by strip buddy, then a coatingg of U-Pol plastic filler to smooth it off

Did you use just any old plastic to weld it or?

  • Author

I bought 4MM plastic welding rod of eBay, about 16ft worth, was around £5 iirc and used that with a heatgun and reduction nozzle

so much love for this car

Can't wait to get this back now, looking forward to UD and the mad rush to get it ready for a club stand.

aren't side repeater delete's an MOT failure?

  • Author

Nope, as long as an indicator can be seen from the side its legal, on the polos 6N/6N2 the front indicator wraps round into the wing/side of the car making it visible from the side, so should get away with it.

Quote ..

These must be fitted with one side repeater indicator on each side. Instead of a separate lamp, the side repeater might be part of the front direction indicator if it includes a wraparound lens.

Time for an Update! Got the car ready for Ultimate Dubs, interior Sorted, stance sorted, Fresh Paint, Smoothed parts, Stubby drivers mirror etc! got up friday and proceeded in cleaning the car inside and out, got the tracking done etc, to get home and hear my air ride hissing from the front! turns out both front struts are leaking air so ruined my plans to attend UD, they will be removed from the car and sent to Rayvern to be completely rebuilt.. will let the pictures do the talking of how the car looks, most may have seen it from Instigram and Facebook.

After the Respray and during the Build up
