Hello, i just signed up to all of this (well i lie actually i joined ages ago but haven't posted anything)

hah!

just thought i would start with my first ever polo 9n, its a 1.2 and a little gem!!!

had her about a year and planned alot of stuff.....however i never got round to it so its a slow moving topic.. but here she is:

so far i have-

tinted windows

60mm lowering springs...and on standard shocks....which i must say is bouncy! feel like your going to go through the ceiling however coilovers are next on the list as she defo needs to be ALOT LOWER!

wind deflectors

The basic stuff really! :)

but i have also had a few problems along the way, as you do, one day the bloody thing went into limbo mode and then decided to misfire and went from running on 3 cylinders to 2...luckily was just a £11 job and a new coil pack and spark plugs

then there was the abs....lowering it made it pop a fuse then for £3 it was fixed again, simple little jobs :)

so yes...have a look and any tips or comments much appreciated

Usually prefer my polos of an earlier vintage, but must admit yours is looking dam nice!

Personally, I'd leave in as it is looks wise and just sort out your bounce.

Welcome along! I know the feeling of a slow thread as mine is as well but you'll have her looking how you want it in time!

well just to keep you updated i have finaalllllly sorted the bouncey problem, shes now got brand new coilovers, shocks and shortened droplinks! half the size drop links

buuuut i broke it again....i think i made it rub against the exhaust manifold...so it cracked the exhaust manifold and the pipe...so now having a custom made one without the cat as 1.2 clearly has no exhaust mods bc its a tiny little thing......needless to say it actually sounds like a friging tractor..or go kart depending where you are standing LOL!!

Fitting the coilovers where a bitch!!! after taking the top mounts out and the simple spring and standard shock i found that i complety bust my top mounts....instead fo the 150 silver ball barings in the top it had 5...and made some horrible grinding noise :S whoops! so new top mounts also!:

nealry loooooow...settle then shes getting slammed on her arse!

so as abit of advice to others...dont lower your car on standard shocks..or you wil f*ck them up! as i have.....hoping to slam her within a few days and take pics...just need them to settle in a little :)

and i also have another little mod coming in the post!
