£250?! I paid £380 for my full front end to get painted and blended into the doors, plus a GTI spoiler! I'd definitely have a shop about or even speak to some people on here from your area and see who they recommend.

and its a 3 door so it should be able to blend in without any issues. If the rest of the car is a bit tatty and maybe showing some signs of rust then i'd do the mods and get the whole thing painted. if not, then it might just be better to get the door painted!

Best of luck with it. Blending in the paint would be pretty difficult I would have thought, but certainly worth a go as it would be much cheaper than a full re-spray! If it didn't work, then I guess you could just get a full re-spray.

wouldnt be too hard to do. Just means the entire side will need doing.
paint door, blow in wing and rear quarter, clearcoat entire side. Piece of cake for a body shop.

To be honest I wouldn't know how easy or hard it would be because I have no clue as to how it's done lol! It'll be the last thing I do on the car anyway so I'll save a bit after getting round to mod it and I'll see what the better option is, whether to get it blended or full respray :) such an inconvenience when your only at college and have a house and car to run

Only had two problems with mine, one was the engine temperature sensor and the other is still ongoing, shes called my Mum

I've just had a full exhaust system including cat converter, 3 new tyres, a back spring and two anti roll bar linkages.. Money money! And i bet your mum is less hassle than what any you male species are lol

Suspension bushes, 5th gear ratio, clutch, two tyres, new rear lamp and bulb holder, steering arm, engine cover, full exhaust etc. You should have seen the advisories sheet! Nightmare!

Thats the advantage of mine being silver. If someone keys the door, I can just buy a new door for £40, and then hit them with the old one

Yeah I can believe that, it works well for everyone apart from the person paying the bills... I hide the keys to mine when I haven't got them on me!

My Dad quite often borrows my car without asking because "It means the gates dont have to be opened" and "You werent going to use it anyway" but I cant complain too much because while I would prefer it if he at least asked, a.) He's right and b.) he brings it home with a full tank of petrol every now and then.

Yeah the doors a mess, I was looking into getting a door but it's too hard to find a car the same colour with electrics etc so I gave up hope and have accepted I need to get it re painted lol!
