VW Polo 2004 losing power intermittently

I am having a challenge with my VW Polo, when i switch it on, the orange EPC light goes on, as well as the ENGINE light and after a few minutes an orange triangle with an exclamaition and a semi circle comes on and then the car just loses power.

I recently did a service with genuine parts from Lindsay Saker South Africa, because it had started to misfire and i suspected the spark plugs had gone kaput! This problem started after i got it serviced, don't know if the two are related though??
