Hello everyone,

We thought we'd introduce Buf the Breadvan.

She lived most of her life on a farm where we found her back in the summer, sitting covered in mud & straw.

She hasn't travelled much, only covering about 46K in her life.

We took her home then scrubbed her, but we seem to have missed an acorn and now she has this huge tree growing out of her head...

We'll let you know more as her story unfolds.

This week's project was fixing Buf's suspension.

On her last MOT they mentioned the Macpherson Strutts on her front (she has been a bit stiff but she is quite old).

We found a good guide on the forum here :

So we bought some new strutts for her and now she is all bouncy again

We gave under her bonnet a good scrub too...

Had to bandage Buf up a bit this week as she had a hole & was blowing quite loud ( think she might have a cold )

So she's bouncy & bandaged now...next on our long list is to tackle her rusty wheels.

We are having lots of fun tidying Buf up...to be honest we're not very technically minded, but we are willing to have a go at anything and there is so much advice on here it encourages us to give things a try...famous last words!

A friend tracked down some black sunvisors from a scrappy for us, so we've screwed them in and now Buf is all matching inside...

Q. We've got a question...a friend brought us this shiny thing today and we were wondering if we will be able to swap it for the rusty looking one on Buf..?!

It seems to be the same size, but there is a little hose on ours (breather..?) and we don't know what we are doing, so thought we would pick the brains of all you wise folks
