sweet them pods look cool as f#ck and only £80 for the two nights were defiantly coming

if the show is on the same field as usual, the pods are only about 30 seconds walk from there!

a mate of mine stayed in one a few years back and said it was pretty cool but i prefer to camp.

Loads of people don't even come in polos anyway, let alone what condition they're in lol!

Exactly in 5 years I've only taken a polo once, It's more about getting people there etc

The only times i went in a Polo were in 2004 and 2011..

20,000 posts on here in eight years, and when I get there I don't know who anyone is. I may have spoken to them, but that doesn't mean I know what they look like.

And yet last year was a right laugh, like people have said, it's not some big scene show, much more a relaxed meet - but the one where people come from all over the country, and even Europe, to meet up and say hello.

If you've never been, don't know anyone, and are on your own, then I know exactly how you feel because that's how I was. Bring a tent, a chair to sit on, some food and beer, you're sorted - stroll around, look at the cars, introduce yourself, you'll be fine.

Edited by MikeyMK

Pull up a chair after 1838581 cans of cider, fall asleep on said chair, fall off said chair, and continually say "you na what I meen?"

Then you'll fit right it haha

That's the kind of laid back atmosphere we're talking about!

I gave up drinking in the autumn though, so i'll be the camera man..

Ill be about as usual. Wont sleep through the bbq this year though or get burnt to a crisp! Gotta be prepared for all weathers though :-/

May have my house mate pop along in his jeep aswell if thats cool... he is mad about cars lol

Theres usually other car clubs at billing during the weekend so therell be plenty to look at car wise.

Yep, this year its also billings German & VAG Show. Which I think had an ok turnout last year

It didn't mark, we will be bigger i bet

Why dont you just put your show and shine stand with german and vag show. I went there last year and was pretty good for a first time.

Just do your own trophy giving.

Any more info on this show please never done it and would like to go?

Cheers

The Polo Show – What is it?
The Polo Show is a social event that is put on by Club Polo which is open to all VW Polo owners from any Club.
What to Expect?
A relaxed event where you can catch up with other members, see their cars and meet new people from the club. Expect a big club meet which lasts the weekend with some beers and BBQ’s!
What’s going on?
Details are yet to be finalised but plans are for the club BBQ to return on the Saturday night, Show and Shine on the Sunday. We are looking to have some things going Saturday day and hopefully a car related film on the Saturday night. There are also a few other car events going on at the same time at Billing so there should be lots to keep you occupied.
Where is it?
The event is held at Billing Aquadrome, Northampton, NN3 9DA. We have held the event here for a number of years and it’s an excellent venue which really suits this event. There is food available on site and there are also a couple of pubs and a Fish & Chip shop in walking distance. There is also the Mini-Golf, Karting and a leisure centre with a pool.
What do you need?
If you are camping then you need the normal camping gear of a tent, sleeping bag, etc. If you want to clean your car up for the show and shine on the Sunday there is a cold water supply so bring your bucket and cleaning gear. Also bring some money for drinks, food and events.
How much does it cost and how to book?
If you are camping it cost £15 per pitch per night. A pitch is for a tent for up to 4 people, if you have extra cars they may charge you extra. The day rate is £10 per car. We will get the booking code you need to use for the discounted rate over the next week or so and will post it up on here.

Sounds really good! Will definitely be coming to this..

Hottub?

So has any activities been booked?

Hottub?

Hot tub time machine?

I've got an inflatable hottub in the shed BUT it takes 900litres and takes a good 12hrs to heat up and i reckon it would trip the hook up :( would be ace tho

Should be up for this, might be in the polo but engine swap dependent!

If not ill be in my new daily which is a mini, but really want to in a polo 2 years out of three.

I'm totally up for this plus it puts a good deadline on when to have the polo on the road by :D

Provided i can get the time off, will let you know surely.
