Engine not starting from cold.

Been having an intermittent problem on my 2002 1.4L petrol polo when starting from cold, and just today when moving away from traffic lights.

Turn key, engine turns over trying to start. Nothing. Battery light comes on as well as oil lamp flashing/beep. When I can get it started, the same happens but with the rev counter not working as well as the power steering stiff/ faulty judder noise. Oil level is good/ car is mechanically sound overall no other problems. Has done 81k miles. Not being used on a daily basis, can sit 3/4 days with no use.

Previously linked this to low fuel level in tank/ gradient, as when full it would start no problem. This is no longer the case.

If anyone has any advice/ encountered similar problems it would be much appreciated. Will need to get codes read and go from there.
