Wow, that kit was under £60 this morning when I copied the link, check this out, same thing but from china, so it will take longer to arrive

Nothing much to say at the moment as nothing's happened for a few weeks.

I'm on holiday for two weeks now and I'll take this time to sort out the problems i feel the car's got and also give it a good clean and polish.

Plans for the next few weeks.

• Wire up amps and sub
• check timing as i think it's off by a tooth or two
• check front suspension as hearing this loud whirring sound when driving
• take helper springs off rear and raise rear a bit

that's its for now, will update when i'm done

Got some winter wheels on, need to raise the car a bit as it rubs a little

The caps were stuck on with tiger seal as the clips were all broken, well didn't have a choice as they were free.

Managed to get the rear seats in finally yesterday, had to change the backing as the golf ones were too long to fit. Will get pictures later.

Also realigned the timing, the tapping has reduced a little, but will change the oil to 5w30 to see if that helps, next stop will be to take the sump off and clean the oil pickup, or replace the oil pump. Might be a bit drastic as I'm not getting any oil light come on, but it might be because some of the dash lights don't work. I might just change the clocks for a gti one if I can find one cheap.

Not much to report, couldn't do much during the holiday period as the weather was pants. But did manage to wire in the amp and subs, only to snap the RCA cable for the amps while trying to take the stereo out so i've had to connect the speakers directly to the stereo directly again.

I must say that the ride is very harsh, will raising the car help as it is giving me back ache
