Weber carb trouble

Iv got a 1985 polo coupe s with a weber 32/34 carb on it but it's not running right at all, I got it tuned but it was done to emissions not by ear but it ran better for a while then the points went and so I got them done but now it's jerky at low revs and at idle, the choke is useless my as well not be there, does anyone one have any ideas as to what I could do to fix this or anywhere where I could take it near Peterborough/Stamford to help ?
