Hi guys

After a bit of advise. My camshaft has gone in my mk2 polo but its the very early 1ltr with the mechanical head. Really struggling to find a replacement. But a friend of mine has a good 1.8 8v engine from his mk1 golf and was wondering if anyone has done this swap before and if so whats required?
