What type of steering wheel and boss have you used mate ? Need to get one for my alpine white 91 bready and did not want to spend mega bucks !! Cheers

Hahaha, it seems as though the thread has sprung into life at long last!

Did some bodywork to it over the past two days with some halfords alpine white which isn't too bad of a colour match against my paint bearing in mind ots had a respray at some point all be it not a high quality job as shown by much of the pinholes and runs in the paint! Happy with my work though not perfect but good enough for the time and effort I put in. I'll let you guys judge, blended it in by sanding with 1200 grit and then spraying some dust coats over it then compounding it in the next day. Ended up repairing the passenger rear quarter in front of the light, drivers rear arch and drivers door (where i pushed the car into a post when the clutch cable snapped into the middle of the road!). Gave it a quick polish with some white/beige t-cut come paint restorer i had knocking about in the garage, cleaned it up well besides the streaky look of the bonnet as per usual, put a good deep shine on it though which i'm pretty pleased with. Tackled the sills as well scraping off the rust and painting them with some gold hammerite (all i had in the garage). Don't judge me too much its hardly noticeable... much

Then came to trying to decat the polo, only to be face with a rusted cat section which is now soaking in penetration fluid with the clamp undone. Hoping that the heat through running the car will loosen it up whilst i'm driving around over the weekend to and from work. I'm still yet to get some pictures of the interior and of the exhaust, half tempted to have a crack at making some diy coilovers from some 6n coilovers and the standard struts but not too sure I trust my welding capabilities at the moment, they may well have to go on hold for the second for when i get some spare cash to spend on them or improve my welding skills

Got one off ebay, not sure what one it was but think it was around £30 i'm pretty sure! was pretty solid and it came in a green and black box can have a look for it if you want

Good work Tom. Got any pics of the interior? I like the sound of the buckets and tartan rear section.

they're mirrors off a renault 5 gt the same as jordonVW has on his arrow grey coupe, require some cutting and trimming to get them to fit properly but look pretty now they're on just need painting again as i rushed the prep and now theyve started peeling

I'll get you some pics of the interior up soon though when i hoover it out in a few days hopefully.
