Polo owner for the first time

Featured Replies

Hi folks......................... Bought myself a polo mk2 facelift 1.3 genesis a few days ago as it was too good to pass on. I am looking forward to many years of fun with it. It is pretty mint at the moment (apart from a few things that you would expect from a 20 year old motor!)

Looking forward to using all your expert knowledge in helping me sort a few bits with it.

cheers

I will do bud when I get a break from the child and man flu!!!

Quality interior and it is mint. Bodywork is almost perfect too. Needs some tlc though. (new backbox, rear springs, steering rack needs replaced, new lock on boot and need to sort my leak in my boot - apart from that it is sweeeeeeeeeeeeet)

Wee update on my motor.

Steering rack is ok apparently and the play I am getting is in the steering column - trolling of internet required me thinks!

Needs new shocks and a rear spring is broke. Gonna think about getting a full lowering kit and then its all done and new!

Needs new cat-back exhaust. Either 30 bucks on ebay for standard one (which I think is the option I will take rather than fork more cash for a sporty number)

Play in front suspension top mounts - sweeeeeeeeet.

Apart from that my wee 28k 1.3 is apparently sweet and looking forward to getting it looking even sweeter in time as cash is tight and my mkiv golf is due some tlc.

As long as the polo gets me to my work and back then I can start saving and get my bits and pieces as I go, then I will hit the wife with all the other stuff I need to get it looking how I would like it !!
