Hi you can use image hosting sites like photobucket.com or imgur.com, upload your image and copy the BBcode, paste that into your post and your pictures will show :)

I cannot paste anything in the message boxes, the paste options in the message box itself do not work either..

I can get the IMAGE option box to open, but when I paste in the link, I cannot ok it insert it, and then I cannot close the box either and have to refresh the web page itself to get out of it.

Piece of shit

In your picture site (Photobucket etc) copy the "BB" code Then on here you hit the "Paste" button

post-36925-0-47966100-1395437127_thumb.j

You'll then get this box pop up

post-36925-0-46830800-1395437145_thumb.j

Click on the "Allow access" and the BB code will be pasted into the text field then when you post it the pictures will appear

Also click the little light switch icon to enable all the features.

Lou try be somewhat more mature next time your asking for help, everyone here is willing to help.

I'm constantly getting "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community."

No matter what type of code I use, whether I use an attachment, a direct link, whether I use BB media, whether the image is pasted directly into the message.....

It's getting a little tedious. Any suggestions?

Thanks

^^^ I'm having the exact same problem. I've got photobucket, deffinitly copying and pasting the correct code etc etc, light switch isnt helping, only getting 'You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community' Help Please :D

Click the "light switch icon" top left of reply box, then paste the "img" code, type your description of picture or whatever then click the light switch again and hit the post button and it does work :) or you can use Chrome browser and you don't need to do anything just ctl-v (paste)

I just use imgur to upload the photo (you can upload them privately so people can only see them if you link them) and then you click on the picture icon in the text box (second row, just off the middle) and post the imgur code into the box that pops up.

Works every time.

You must make sure the image URL ends in a .png, .jpg, etc. Always try to use the direct link from photobucket, press view image full size and it should then display the correct URL in the address bar to copy here. It wont be a long URL.

I am already using chrome, and have tried the light switch, when i use the light switch it convert the code to image, however when i cllick 'Post' i simply get 'You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community.

i just tried to post a copy of the URL hoping you guys could point out what i was doing wrong however even if i put aload of asterix throughout the code it still kept coming up with same message and not allowing me to post.

Thanks for your help given already guys. shame the forum doesn't have a tool to upload directly from the computer or phone.

That is odd as others, myself included just copy the img code and it works.

If you have tapatalk you can post direct with that (so I'm told)

Scott could you just post the picture as a normal link so I can click it and see if I can get it to work?

The problem is the bit after the .jpg on the code from photobucket it's coming out with .jpg~original at the end, I deleted that and it posts normally, did you edit the picture in photobucket ??

The problem like Nige said is the way the URL ends, your link looks like this:

http://s87.photobucket.com/user/scottpsmith1/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-02/DSC_0066_zps60qlvqxs.jpg.html

With it ending in .HTML the forums will not see it as a picture.

So all I did was click the Direct Link (under share) on the right side.

That will give you the direct link:

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k147/scottpsmith1/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-02/DSC_0066_zps60qlvqxs.jpg~original

And just be sure to remove the '~original' from the end of the link.

I just copied Nige but just showed the differences in the links and what they look like :-p

that was my attempt at the url after deleting the -original from the end... obviously would like to just upload the picture like everyone else rather than giving everyone the link to my account. and no i havnt edited the photo at all :/ i shall try tapatalk and see how that plays

You're still doing it wrong. Simply press the picture button on the the tool bar a box will appear and just paste the link and press ok.

EasyCode:

This method will allow you to insert an image into your post if the image has already been uploaded to a website and has a full URL that you can use.
iconpicture.jpg

  1. Click the 'picture' icon.
  2. When the box appears paste the direct link to the image.
  3. Select OK.
  4. Once you are finished creating your post, click the Post Message button.
