P-Flock Project

Featured Replies

So here i have my new project.
My Polo 6n 1.4 8v. 2 lady owners with 72000miles and new cam belt, gearbox, no rust and perfect body work. sounds like a sweet body to start working on.
Got big plans for this little polo. Some like pontiac wheels, flocked dashboard, golf mk3 gti recaro seats and full retrim seats interior, boot build and slamming of course. Aswell as some other little gems that i need to get worked out before i say anymore. so heres the beast.

  • I'd say the original pontiac ones. But if they're expensive the money would be better spent on other things.

  • That head unit looks pretty.

cheers dude, camber on the rear tomorrow. yeah got some 16v bumpers being sent off to the body shop for smoothing. and seats, loads of people use recurs, and don't get me wrong, they are sick seats b

Best colour so a good base. Get them bump strips off though!

Also get some autosol and polish the rocker cover up

I have some nice brand new hella blue indicators, would smarten it up.

I have a fully flocked interior if you're interested. top of the dash needs redoing though. not much work.

Perfect colour for a 6n.. Nice base to start with too!

Great base, same colour as mine

so I'm using my Pontiac wheels from my last polo, but been to change the tyres down to 45, 50s where just too high haha. and the m3 grey colour of them works really well with the light metallic blue of the car.

love theses wheels so much, hard to get to fit but so worth it. coz they where on my last polo, i have already had the adaptors and bolts milled down slightly to make them fit better so i don't need to worry about that on this polo.

lemme know what you vw guys and girls think

X2 on removing the bumps trips. Couler coded handles too?

So as promised, spend a lot of today working on the polo and got a lot done. even with the rain, nothing was gonna stop me from working on the polo. got my gazebo up, and my list of jobs to do, i cracked on.

IMG_7506_zps20f54bdc.jpg

so first off, the bump strips where removed. hate the back that all the glue was felt on the body and was a task just to remove the glue and tape but after removing it and come t-cut, came up amazing

IMG_7507_zps5d2772cd.jpg

IMG_7508_zps49ae42a7.jpg

also this happened to the dash board, swell as the dash trim around gear knob and handbrake will be flocked, got a little task I'm trying to do with the centre console, so stay turned for this

IMG_7512_zps9af60019.jpg

and finally the headliner and A,B and C pillars where removed today to be wrapped by myself is this blue and grey tartan to bring the blue of the body and the grey of the wheels into the interior

Good work

there was a small paint line on the rear panel but other than that it was fine.

i think it'll look pretty sick with the flocked dash swell.

forgot to mention that i had also fitted 6n2 rear lights, was a pain to fit but all in and wired in. much prefer the rear end with the 6n2 rear lights

been a busy weekend wile the weather has been on my side, so i thought id make the most of it. swapped the side indicators to smoked, wind and rain deflectors, removed the door cards for retrimming and also managed to remove the dashboard for flocking. Also had the material for my pillars and headliner turned up so i wrapped my pillars and headliner in the blue tartan. sorry for the heavy photos.

lemme know what you guys and girls think of the progress

I'd say the original pontiac ones. But if they're expensive the money would be better spent on other things.

Love it... Even the tartan, haha. Reminds me of my own when I first got it, though you're getting things moving a lot faster than I am!

I had the fronts and rears of the Hella Magics, but sold - kind of wish I hadn't now...

If and when you replace the wheels, will you be looking to sell the standard centre caps? I'm looking for a spare set myself.

haha cheers dude, really fond of the tartan, think it'll work really well with the flocked dashboard. they look sick man, what, the centre caps on the steelies?

I like what has happened so far, look forward to seeing more.

cheers dude.

so coil overs have been ordered, swell as the rear strut brace and airbag mono boss. and hopefully picking up my dashboard and trim from being flocked as well as the centre trim around gear knob and handbrake. so at the weekend, if everything comes, coil overs are going on and going straight down lol, dashboard and headliner and pillars are all going back in as well. still need to order new tyres and sort out the rear camber when doing the coil overs and then time to get the arches sorted.

love taking the car apart to make parts look better but, rebuilding all the newly trimmed parts or new parts is zoo much better!

stay turned for new updates, hopefully loads next weekend :)

Did some small mods today until theses turned up from the nice UPS man. So even if its raining, the gazebo is going up and the polos going down!

So fitted the shark fin areial, died the door seals black, painted the roof grab handles black and finished the rear wiper blank. So stoked to get the ap coilovers today. Tomorrow shall be a busy day.

Stay turned for a lot of changes
