I bought a 6n to tidy up off a woman down the road. They lived on a hill and when I got it, the handbrake freed off. A month on the drive (even with the handbrake off), has led to it being just about stuck on. What's the best way to free it off? Obv I can't remove the drums too easily as the shoes will be holding them on..

Take the wheels off and bash the outer face of the drum with a hammer a few times should help

Also if you never put the handbrake on it won't be the handbrake stuck on, so if the car is a runner just drive it forward until they "bang" off

5000rpm and drop the clutch. Works on ex-hire cars that have been stuck in compounds for months anyway. :)

It'll click off when I move it in gear but rubbing like a bugger, but with it being stood and in bits It would be better if in could roll it. Might try the hammer method.

Short drive would sort it, especially over cobbles.

What they do on big trucks with stuck brake drums, is whack them with a lump hammer a few times as Matt said.

There isnt much other option than brute force, youll never get the drum off with them stuck on

yeah give the wheel nuts a good belt with the handbrake off , then you will need the drum off for a good look and clean up

What hub? The wheel nut is bolted directly into the brake drum.

Insert a screwdriver through a threaded hole in the brake drum and push the wedge upwards.

yeah yeah drum/hub, you know what i meant. and its a bolt not a nut.
