Well the .205 nozzles are in,... I have gone from having a slightly rough runner with no power, to a smooth runner with enough torque to slip my clutch.... no smoke, and idles smoother too.

So... I'm gonna need a clutch lol! my local garage did the injector swap for £80 which was just great. If i drive carefully I can us the extra power i've gained but if i get reckless it just slips the clutch. So I'll draw a line under it as money well spent.

Sadly having trouble with the clock set i bought, I have some gti clocks now,... they almost work.

everything lights up, the tacho works, the speedo works, the warning lights work. but I need to correct the miles readout,... and I need to delete off the airbag light, vagcom is suggesting that my airag module is just fine, with no faults,.. but the clocks are reporting that it doesn't have comms to the airbug module. not even any trouble with immobilsers etc... the car runs just fine! also need to fit a OAT sensor for the gauge on the left

Going to need to get handy with coding the new clocks,... any tips? they look so good compared to the old ones,.. must be able to get them working,..

will look great when i get the new surround

OK the reason for the airbag lack of communication , on a 6N2 the airbag control unit talks to the speedo by CANbus your airbag control unit doesn't have CANbus lines it just sends a discrete signal to the speedo, if you have full VCDS? then you can code the speedo that the car doen't have CANbus this should take care of that :)

I do have full VCDS, so i have capability to code the clocks, the coding methods are a bit mind bending to me, I was wondering if i may have fudged it, but figured if everything else works on the clocks,.. there must be a way to get that light off.

Do you have any tips for coding the clocks? I tried changing the mileage to get it back up to where it should be but it would error on me.

Here's the code table 6N2 Speedo Code table.doc but after looking at the wiring diagrams further, your engine does communicate with the speedo via CANbus so you can't code that out :(

Here's the info on changing the distance display 6N Adapting distance travelled display.doc As you will see you can only increase the distance not decrease it, also the distance needs to be inputted in KM not miles

I need to add 40,000 miles to my display to match it up to the old clocks. hopefully i can work it out using the pdf you linked me too, though it makes for a hard read!

disappointed about the ABS comms,.. would this suggest that the cluster i've bought is defective? I have another peculiar trait which is odd: When i turn my lights on the dash will display the full beam light, though the headlamps are actually on dipped - so i click the stalk to bring my headlamps up to fullbeam, which works, and the fullbeam indicator stays on,.. then i click the stalk again, the headlamps go to dipped along with the indicator on the dash turning off as it should. strange eh.

maybe this is why I haven't found anyone that has documented trying to fit this clocks to a 6kv5..... hmph!

Comparing the two sets of diagrams, the 6N2 airbag just communicates with the speedo via the canbus for the status of it, on the 6n2 speedo there is a discrete input for the airbag, but as it's coded for canbus it won't be looking at that input? I guess you could get a 6N2 airbag control unit and rewire yours to suit??

The main beam looks to be identical on yours and the 6n2 so I don't know on that one ??

Those instructions are written for the VAG dealers diagnostic, so you have to workout the steps as they are on Ross-Techs VCDS
