I want something to look back on, and if I ever sell its good to show all the hard work thats gone into it.

Sold my mk3 gti and bought a red 1991 Coupe with the intent of doing a conversion.

I managed to find the biggest steal of the century, a 1.4 16v going for spares due to a fucked gearbox, went up and drove it home after paying a handsome £180 for it

Already made my money back selling parts, so have come out with a free 16v engine (beyond happy!!)

Began stripping bits and after a stressful afternoon and evening, began to pull out the 16v engine

10pm and the engine is out. Looking forward to tidying this up and getting things set up

I finally paid off for the Coupe! The Volf is being stored elsewhere whilst being advertised for sale, and I'm now driving around Plymouth in my beaut little Coupe

Went shopping..

Gave the paint some tlc, much better.

Decided to opt for the mk1 golf coilover set up, which turned into a massive ball ache (..If I had balls then they would ache).

Time to lower her, but first.. Let me take a selfie

that fitment though... (I didn't drive it like this, unfortunately )

Had the front coils welded to fit the track rod ends, but when we realised the tapers were made to match the mk1 gti hubs we had to think of a way around it all. An inventive friend took the track rods and cut up the track rod and welded a mk1 gti track rod to it so it would fit! So I'm now running gti track rod ends haha!

Finally all fitted!!

annnnnnnnd thennn I ripped my bumper off leaving Run to the Sun (Mound of cut grass - 1, Abi - 0), so plastic welded for the first time..

Engines out.. So heres half my face.

Yeeesh. That rocker cover needs some tlc!!

But here she is! Many teething problems to over come, but she's putting a smile on my face to drive. Hard work paying off!!

Took her to MB Motorsport to get the carbs tuned

113BHP at the flywheel currently, thats without the dizzy advance connected and a 2" manifold reducing to a 1.5".

Being an assistant manager on a farm comes with its responsibility, Tilly the goat needed some veterinary treatment..

Next up was interior. I've always wanted bucket seats, found 2 Corbeau seats pretty much brand new going cheap!

Now, I'm calling 'shwwty' for a reason, I'm 5"5 so bolting to the floor wasn't an option unless I wanted to drive looking at the steering wheel and guess which direction to drive in. Luckily a good friend has a welder in his garage, we got started on making rails. We got small steel box section and welded it onto the VW rails for the bucket seats. I sat down in one, and couldn't reach the pedals haha!! So we made an extension so I could reach.

But first, let me take a selfie.

As well as stripping the Polo and getting rid of the rear bench, black door cards and a black carpet were put in. I have a black headlining but I'm not even going to attempt it as I know I'll somehow ruin it..

Cults are now sold, and within 3 hours of stumbling across a rare set of wheels they were sat in my bedroom. I test fitted them today, all I can say is I'M IN LOVE!!!!!!! Need some polishing and tidying up. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled at Ultimate Dubs!!
