Shes been off the road for a month or so now. No real reason, except i wasnt using it!

Going to do a few jobs on it in the new year and then get it back on the road in the spring!

Seats are Seat Cupra Seat from an Ibiza.

Shes in for a new clutch and gearbox fix today as the pedal was starting to feel shitty. Rarther sort it properly before it brakes down on me :)

So, bit of an update.

Not been using this much. Kept it clean and gave it a good service etc. And i also got some brand new rear shocks on her, the Beetle ones, as the rear shocks were GONE!

I was after a new set of wheels for a while and these ATS Cups came up on Wheels Whores for a good price so i got them. They have a staggered offset which i like, the rears sit nice. Id of prefered to stay with 16" inch wheels. But these really were a good price with near new tyres. so i though sod it!



Also, i fitted an electric remote central locking kit that i got from ebay. This works a treat! Massive range, if not to good. it makes me wonder if i accidentaly could unlock it from far away!


Also, got my hands on a 16v Polo that I'm breaking. Wanted to use the good bits on the van. The Carpet and door cards dont fit, but i did swap the dash over, so now i have a new Dark grey dash in my van!
Going to paint the door cards to match i think, seems the easiest way. i painted the lower trims (under the door card) satin black to see how it looked. Also, got my hands on a tidy second hand set of TT pedal covers.



and I've looked into black carpets, again, rarther then wait for a black one to come up, I'm going to take my standard one out and dye it black.
Anyone done this, any advice?

Thats it for updates for now. the new wooden steering wheel is from another project i have, was just trying it out on this to see if i liked it. :)

Quick updates in the form of some pics. Not much been changing really. been enjoying using it! But I'm hopefully gonna be taking into the body shop again in a week or so to repair a little bit of rust spek from some stone chips on the roof. Cant decide if to paint it black with blue flakes or just the same blue. Still on the look out for an open air roof for it!

Took it for a spin road some lanes the other day with a GoPro straped to the front. Want to have a go at making some little videos of it.

Thanks dude, i love it. Its nice to have a little van thats a bit different. PETROL for a start! still get good mpg, but it just pulls better and dont sound like an old tractor! lol.

I'm really not feeling my own wheel choice though, need some 16's ASAP! save these Cups for my Mk1 caddy!
