Hey guys new to this site. Just wondering if anyone has de carbonised their engine before ? If so what method was used ?

Welcome to CP. I've used cleaners on the inside and outside of the engine. I've used redex before and thats cleaned out afew parts of the engine.

Cheers dude il go try that . I had watched a few videos on YouTube and their doing it with water witch kinda threw me a little but there seems to be quite a few people soon it and it's kinda good too lol

There was a system on wheeler dealers a while back that decarbs the engine.was a jag episode I think? engine running with the system cleaning away.

It was called "TerraClean" it is still being advertised by Edd China on the Satelite channels, If you send a text with your postcode to 66777 they will come back with your nearest operator, there's one in Linford Wood MK

Dumbass question but if they're cleaning out an engine with water, how they get it all out? Could be very easy to fuck an engine up!

Water ?

water is a well known method ... you warm the engine up and use a vacuum pipe to sip the water from a bottle while you rev the car , water turns to steam and cleans the carbon off

ever seen how clean the piston is where a head gasket has failed ...thats same thing steam cleaned it

Yeah that's what I thought . I've been told by my whole family in mechanics traders for years and years never introduced water to an engine . But as Steve said it is quite well known system YouTube got a few videos there apparently the only thing that needs to be done is water poured slowly to avoid hydro lock . I am dying to try it but I seem to be shyed away when it comes to the crunch lol
