I bought this back in 2011 for a bit of fun as I've always wanted one and It eventually became my daily driver due to it being so much more reliable than I'd anticipated .

I ran it as my daily for 17 months and covered 14000 miles in that time but due to the increasing amount of miles I decided to take it off the road and bought myself my 6R with the intention of doing some work on it and eventually putting it back on the road .
Life got in the way of things and I just never got around to it and it sat for almost 2 years without turning a wheel. It gutted me to see it sat there so I decided to get it through a MOT and use that as a starting point to see what I needed to do to get it back tip top.
When I picked it up two of the tyres had cracked quite badly and it needed jump starting , so whilst I ran it up I changed to a spare set of wheels I had and off it went to the test centre . I left it with them and got a call a few hours later and to my surprise it had passed with only a couple of advisories .
I've given it a good check over and made a start replacing some bits. First I've fitted a new fuel tank , set of hand brake cables , new exhaust front box and covered about 400 miles without any faults at all .
After leaving it stood for so long the paint had faded badly so I've clayed , polished and waxed it and given the interior a really deep clean .
Heres how it currently stands.

Plenty more planned with this over summer , I'm going to clean up under the bonnet and I've currently got some bits being blasted at present ready to be painted up (Strut braces, rocker cover, air cleaner cover, distributor cover)
Looking to source some black carpet for the interior , and having doorcard inserts re-covered to match seats and need to adapt the Mk III rear seats to fit so everything will match .
