2001 Polo 6n2 Silver 5 DR 1.4 16V SE (75bhp)

Featured Replies

For sale is a 2001 (51) Volkswagen Polo 1.4 SE (75bhp) in reflex silver (manual). There is currently 109,XXX miles on the clock - But I am currently still using the car. It comes with 6 months tax and is MOT'd until December. I am posting this ad to try to gauge interest - however if you are genuinely interested please do not hesitate to contact me.

The car comes with some great features, including genuine BBS alloy wheels from the GTI in black, genuine spoiler from the GTI, Alpine Double-DIN sterio (Bluetooth + Parrot) in full working order (including the bluetooth parrot hands free!), Edge 10 inch Subwoofer - all professionally wired (no loose wiring anywhere), GTI front grill, electric sun roof, electric windows, electric and heated door mirrors & front fog lights. Everything that's been added to the car has been fitted professionally and done properly. (A nice sum of money has been spent!) If you would like any more information on any of the bits please ask!

GOOD:

The car itself drives perfectly, and the interior is as good as immaculate. I have owned it for just under a year - it was previously my grandmothers, she owned it from 2005 and to my knowledge wasn't driven that often. In the time I have owned it, it spent 4 months garaged as I was driving something else, and roughly 6-7 months on the road in total. The tyres are in OK condition, but the fronts could probably do with a change soon-ish. It has seen around 10,000 miles since I have owned it, and it that time I have had no problems whatsoever - I also have quite a lot of paperwork to go along with it.

BAD:

With any car getting to this age there are going to be some bad points (I will be as honest as possible so as to not waste anybody's time). It has a very tiny bit of rust bubbling on the bottom of the front passenger side door (hardly noticeable), and there is also a tiny scuff on the rear bumper. I also very unfortunately had a slight bump in a car park and as a result the door was dented which decided to replace, however the scrapyard gave me a door in satin silver instead of reflex silver, so there is a slight colour difference, which unless in the right light isn't all that noticeable. (I picked up the door for £40 so a replacement in reflex silver wouldn't cost any more). There is also a very minor oil leak, which I have been told by a mechanic is coming from the sump gasket, which isn't a major job.

On the whole it is a lovely car and it is a great shame to have to sell it, however it must be done as I am in need of something a bit more practical. This would make a brilliant first car, or it also has great potential for a project car.

I am not interested in any swaps and £999 is the asking price.

If you are interested please contact Chris on 07515495335 (not during working hours please! unless it is lunchtime). I will try to do my absolute best to pick up the phone, but I can definitely reply to a text message.

Thanks!
