Hi all I'm a newbie on her so be nice please lol

My Polo has had a lousy clutch for the last 4 years and now hubby says it needs replacing, he is a great mechanic but only works on ford/nissan/mitsubishi.

Can someone give me a rough idea of how tough it is to do the clutch and if there is anything major he should know before he starts, Not to help him but so I have an idea of how many cups of coffee an hour, and how long I need to stand there passing out sockets and spanners.
