sand/ media blasting on the cheap?

Featured Replies

hi all,

i have some bbs wheel centres whcih have super thick powder coating on them.

normal nitromorse didnt put a dent in it. someone on here suggested hydraulc fluid, this only made it angry when i soaked on in it. the surface went bublly but dried solid again.

my only option now is something heavier. i want them blasted clean :)

problem is all the wheel refurb places i contacted want almost the same price as a full refurb just for the centres.

and sand blasting places want a minimum of £50 plus postage

my question is, what other places can i search for that would have a blast cabinet?

i have searched locally but they arent any blasting places anywhere nearby but literaly hundreds of warehouses. so if i can search for a place that does something else but has a cabinet then i could go along and hopefully give the guy a drink etc and have them done there and then.

or am i being silly and should just pay the £50?
