POLO 6N Key Programming

Hi there I am just wondering if anyone knows how to programme a Polo 6n 1999 transponder key i know that the transponder inside is a T10 transponder is there any way of programming it without having to spend a lump sum of cash cause first quote i had was just after getting the flip key cut and the car wouldn't start which was £90 for the transponder and i'm guessing programming but I have found the transponder on ebay for £6.50 so I'm thinking to get that and get a place to programme is which I've been quoted £30 to do it, but I've checked online for a way without having to use a specialist but not sure if it works the same way with the T10 transponder.
