1999 VW POLO 6N 1.4CL 5 SPEED 3 DOOR HATCH

Featured Replies

Dark metallic blue with OEM 5 spoke alloy wheels.

65,300 genuine miles.

2 owners with main dealer service history and lots of receipts.

MOT until December, tax until end of November.

Cambelt and water pump replaced at 45,000 miles (August 2012).

Recent new exhaust mid and rear sections. New thermostat, nearside window regulator (both common faults on this model; the offside window regulator was renewed a couple of years ago) and battery.

Bad points? Parking ding and small area of rust on offside rear wheel arch. Some paint blistering on rear bumper. Small rust spot on nearside door sill. Some paint stripped off nearside front alloy by pressure washer. Nearside door lock repair kit needed (less than £10 on eBay). Front brakes (discs and pads were renewed a couple of years ago) are a little squeaky. At last service the dealer claimed to be unable to change the brake fluid because all 4 bleed screws are seized. I suspect a liberal dose of WD40 and some heat will resolve this. I have bought replacements and these will be supplied with the car.

This is a reliable little car which we have owned for the last four and a half years. Becoming increasingly difficult to find in this condition. I am looking for £850.

Located in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset (M5 junction 22).

Thanks for looking!

Mark
