Hi guys, bought a 6N2 steering wheel recently but aprehensive about removing my standard 6N one. Don't suppose anyone can offer any advice or even better, if anyone is in the Manchester area who might fancy helping a newbie out?

I've read the guide and can give it a go but it would be amazing if there was someone around who knew what they were doing!

top tip,

If the wheel is stuck on the splines, remember to put the nut back on a couple turns before "persuading" it.

This will prevent a broken nose.

Stuck pretty much at the first hurdle as per usual. The bloody hex bolts are too stiff to remove and actually stripped the hex keys I had (cos they are cheap and crap I'm guessing). Whacked some WD40 on them but I think I need some heavy duty hex keys before I knacker my hand any further.

I never had a problem with mine, are you turning them anti clockwise ? (this is clockwise when facing the wheel from the seat)

Can you obtain a hex socket instead of trying to use a key? Also, they are hex aren't they, not Torx. I haven't done one for years so can't remember.

Yeah, going the right way and yep, 4mm hex. My boss at work has some heavy duty ones, should do the job, just annoying as finding the time to do it is difficult and I definitely don't want to rush this!
