1998 golf mk4 1.9 tdi 90

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a golf mk4 1.9 tdi 90hp in a dark blue colour. It's a 4 door, with the velvet type creamy grey interior.

It's an SE so has some nice extras like 4 electric windows, electric sunroof, remote locking and probably a few more that I can't think of.

The bodywork is in pretty good nick with only a few car park dents and dings, but all panels are straight and really will polish up nicely. Has all 4 original hubcaps. Looks pretty smart IMO.

Mechanically wise, there is a slight knocking but seems to go away when it's warm, I'm sure it's something small but I haven't had time to look at it. The clutch is on it's way out tbh, but it will still get you around for a good while.

I can get hold of the clutch kit for very cheap so I can supply that if needed. If I had the time and space I would really like to change it as for me it's not a big job and I would be much happier selling it with a nice new clutch fitted, so this is an option also.

Otherwise everything mechanically works as it should and is very smooth on motorways and very economical.

It's had 4 recent tyres and they still have great tread on them.

Can't think of anything else to add really.

Pictures to follow.

The car is currently located in Luton LU1 postcode, but can be brought to North London HA7 postcode if needed, or even meet anywhere between there and Kent TN29 postcode. It's my brother in laws car and they have just moved abroad, so the car needs to go because the house it's parked outside is now rented and they don't fancy the driveway ornament.

Price wise he is looking for £800 but is open to offers, so if you are local then please get in touch and have a look at it and make an offer.

The car has no tax or mot at the moment but I will be puting a fresh 12 months MOT on it in the next few days, and I can tax it for the new owner at cost if it's easier.

Thanks for looking
