2003 vauxhall corsa 1.2 16v

Featured Replies

Hi all

Vauxhall corsa 1.2 16v in silver metallic. Has the usual corsa features so pretty basic, but less things to go wrong. It has electric front windows, which work perfectly in fact everything on this car works as it should. The interior is a black fabric and is very clean and the seats look almost unused

Mechanically it is in great shape. The clutch was recently changed and has plenty of life left in it.

The seal between the water pump and timing case split and flooded the oil with coolant. Not knowing these engines I took off the head thinking it was a blown head gasket, which it wasn't. I had all the valves checked and the head skimmed. Refit it all back together and fitted a new timing chain set so new sprockets, chain tensioner and seal. And timed up correctly at a vauxhall specialist. Engine flushed and new oil and coolant filled receipt is for just under £1200 for the work done and I cannot fault it. It has had all the usual corsa problems repaired so who ever buys it will be happy with it for a while to come.

Bodywork wise, it's fairly clean, there are the normal car park and general use dings and a few digs on the bumpers etc, but nothing major.

This will make a great first car or cheap run around

A rear arch had come off when it caught on something and the clips broke off, it has been repaired with a few screws. Not ideal but it holds it on and defiantly won't come off. The fog light reflector lens has broken but still works. And the chrome v grille has gone missing. Other then that it's a clean presentable looking car.

The car is currently located in Luton LU1 postcode, but can be brought to North London HA7 postcode if needed, or even meet anywhere between there and Kent TN29 postcode. It's my sister car and she has just moved abroad, so the car needs to go because the house it's parked outside is now rented and they don't fancy the driveway ornament.

Price wise she's looking for £1100 but is open to offers, so if you are local then please get in touch and have a look at it and make an offer.

The car has no tax or mot at the moment but I will be puting a fresh 12 months MOT on it in the next few days, and I can tax it for the new owner at cost if it's easier.

Thanks for looking
