1.2 Polo 'daily' project

Featured Replies

So since I plan on keeping my car after my years insurance is up I'm going to spent quite abit of time and money on it, progressively over the next year or so. This is my daily driver so nothings going to be overly dramatic and it will also be done slowly. I'll post on this threat everytime theres to be an update to anyone who might be interested. So, after writing my first car of (after a week) due to no fault of mine I bought this polo, its a 05 9N 1.2 E and has 68.xxx miles on her.

This is how I got her a week ago, and so far all I have really managed to do is spray the steelies,

add some window stickers (I'm 17 its impossible not to) and get some pressed plates.post-918488-0-05699300-1414182909_thumb.

For my 18th my family are going to try and get me some new wheels, BBS RS reps, Audi Prepper pots or something that would look good or unique on a lowered Polo and if I have put in enough overtime I should be able to wrap them in some decent boots.

I'll keep it updated as and when I do any mods to it, any input/ideas on what mods to do would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Another quick update, painted badge, put pressed plates on and headlight tint. post-918488-0-86496600-1414531675_thumb.

Looking good so far, looking at getting some 16inch BBS Montreal 2's with 195/45/16 tyrea, better quality wheels for half the price of new replicas. Keep it updated

I'd definitely go for the montreals over replicas they look nice on 9ns

I've just bought a set of montreals they look like this on out coloured car i also attached some other wheels that look nice

So I've been away for a while

So since I was last on I've bought a set of Montreal 2's on ebay for £251 with tyres with 4+mm of tread left post-918488-0-09604200-1415736025_thumb.

I've also got of gumtree a 200w Sony Xplod Sub with built in amp for £25, which I'm going to repaint black. post-918488-0-74741100-1415736749_thumb.

I know it's not the usual 1000+w sub's but I'm only looking for a little more bass nothing amazing, pus I'm on a pretty tight budget as about half of my wadge goes to payments for insurance and the car it's self :D

Unfortunately someone (I don't know who they didn't leave a note the c**ts) reversed into my car causing a nasty knock on the rear quarter and passenger door. So that along with my perished drive shaft boots means no real mods in the near future, but once my insurance claim for my last car is settled I should get my £550 excess back (love being 17) so I'll be back looking for suggestions. Ill update when the wheels arrive

Quick update. De-badged the polo off the back, bit of WD-40 and a hair dryer did the trick

and put in an aux cable, all left now is for the wheels to arrive and she'll be looking sweet. Might tint the rear lights all red at some point. I'm not too keen on the 9n3 lights nor any after market ones either
