Hello my name is David

I'm new to this website. I have a problem with my polo 6n1 my interior roof light wont go on I have replaced a new bulb. Can someone help me? Also the rear boot light is doing the same thing, I have also bought a new bulb for it and whenever i open the boot the light still doesn't light.
