  • mk2 you can take apart the heater slide and put a led behind each logo so that it all lights up bit of ash tray illumination

  • Not overly, just be careful with your paint. I used warm water and something to get in behind it. It will leave horrid marks at first though.

I've been using SMD LED bulbs for years. You can get the 501 style ones very cheap on eBay and they fit into the rear number plate bulbs. Looks a lot better than the dull yellow you get from the sta

gunna try tinting my headlights yellow, dunno if ill keep it but who knows. £4.99 on ebay for 3 yellow tints. :pardon:

I can't make my mind up on pressed plates, they look so much cooler imo, but people have mixed experiences with being pulled over etc.

Sleeving the cables that go into your amplifier makes them look 100 times tidier.

This is under a tenner but required you to already have an amplifier and wiring

well I've had my pressed plates for 6 months and as far as I'm aware they were sold as 'uk legal' so meh :P

There is a place online that does do genuine road legal pressed plates. They are more than £10 each though.

Know the website Kwijibo? There was one that do them for £16.50 but I can't remember what it was called. To be legal don't they have to be reflective?

Dubmeister I think. £16.50 each rings a bell. I don't know the exact laws on plates but I'm sure they say they can provide literature to prove they are legal.

Yeah, that was it!

People on various threads (I googled how legal they are) said not to trust them solely on the fact they say they are road legal, but the way I see it it can't hurt to have them on and just keep the standard ones in the boot.

You do have to send your everyday proof of ID and ownership with Dubmeister I think. Might give them a look in.

So more things for under a tenner:

Spray wheel arches black £3ish from biology

Makeshift headlight eyebrows with electrical tape £1 (was on the car when I bought it :P

Short aerial £5 eBay

Spray paint your steel wheels chrome £1 :P

"Spray paint your steel wheels chrome £1 :P"

would love to see that

Might do it to my spare for a laugh.

So i found that one of the adhesive push lights from any pound shop makes for a decent boot light in the 86c, in the middle of the plastic cover is positioned perfectly.

not exactly the greatest mod ever, but its something :3

That's a great idea. I've always been frustrated by the 2f's lack of boot illumination

Is it something like this?

(Saloons have a boot light of sorts - they use the ?tailights? to light the boot)
