Hello Club Polo's

Featured Replies

I was Googleing & came across Club Polo!

We are long time VW owners

For many years we had a Mk2 Polo (86C)

Since then we have had Golf's & Passats of different marks.

The reason I joined the Polo club it that we are thinking of going back to them & I have recently been offered a 1.4 mk4 5 door SE with full VW service history & only 40k on the clock. I was wondering what to look out for when I go & have a look? It looks like the gearboxes are a weak point. Anything else I should check, prod, poke or kick?

Seasons greetings & thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Welcome along! Just generally make sure it runs and drives good, as you say gearboxes do have a few issues. Also make sure the central locking works and the pump doesn't hiss/hum for more then a few seconds on locking/unlocking as it's fairly common for the pumps or fuel flap solenoids to go on them
