I've decided to sell my golf its been my daily for nine months and I'm looking for a change its showing its age in a few places now but is tidy for its age and cleans up nicely.

would look sweet with some cool wheels and some coilovers.

the engine is a 1.6 8v with a 5speed box

the previous owners partner stripped the standard carb and cleaned it in a ultrasound tank, i think its running a little rich and may need a retune but drives fine.

Its pretty standard lowered on some springs this was done before i got it, and also running BBS RD024 wheels 14" x 6.5j et33

i purchased from a friend who had the car since November 2012.

I've changed the cam belt, alt belt, top mounts, lower ball joints, track rod ends a rear wheel bearing, pads and disks and had the alternator refurbished.

i replaced the fuel cap and the locks where changed before i owned the car so the doors and ignition are on separate keys there are two sets of keys with the car.

a cheap stereo is fitted and will come with the car the car also has a sunroof and does not leak

I had the car mot tested and it had the following done at the same time

steering rack boot , inner cv joint and boot and a oil and filter change and the sump gasket was replaced.

when cold there's a slight misfire on idle but this stops when warm.

the interior is standard the rear seats stitching on the top has split but these are easy to replace.

there is no boot liner as i spilt gearbox oil on it when i was moving my gt engine to my unit for my derby.

and the head liner has a few marks on it.

mileage is at 108000ish and will rise as I'm still using it.( i will update this along with adding interior shots)

I'm going to be replacing the hand brake cables and fitting the car with a new battery this week.

the car is currently in use and is taxed so it can be driven home but due to the new tax laws the vehicle will need to be taxed by the new owner.

Bad pints to note are

the rear seats with the split stitching

temperature gauge it playing up and only works now and then I've not had a chance to look at this.

the front speaker pods are missing the grill covers.

there is some surface rust coming through on the rear arches behind the arch spats near the sills.

it has some marks to the paint and age related dings

the passenger door has signs of attempted break in but this can be covered with the scratch guards that go behind the handles.

no boot liner as mentioned above.

the car came with no previous service history as it was lost but i have receipts for all the work and i have the current v5
