I've started work on my 2000 6n2 1.4tdi, I bought the car completely standard and started doing little things to improve its look.

I've fitted:

Gti Grill

Alpine Headunit

Jbl sub

Chrome dials inside

various interior parts carbon wrapped

pressed plates

xenon bulbs

smoked indicators

LED numberplate bulbs

tinted fogs

wind deflectors

de wipered

sprayed the engine cover

fitted a momo 300mm

and finally my coilovers,

any advice is much appreciated

my plans for the car are extensive and will take years and pretty much every penny i earn

i will be constantly changes little bits and big bits and keep updating this for people to see.

Off to collect some bbs rz today they need a refurb but will be gorgeous when done, more pics to follow

got them home gave them a quick clean not too bad condition going to respray gloss black with chrome lips

Wheels look huge but will be gorgeous with smaller tyres, buzzing for summer.

Gave her clean and polish today, quick update the alloys are going off to be refurbished by a friend on Sunday should be back by next Sunday

Quick test fit need to go lower and roll my arches.

Surely just lower profile tyres and touch of camber? You roll arches Itll ruin the look and paint will probably crack

I was thinking that but doesn't the camber just shred your tyres?

Not if you don't go to silly, I assume these are 7-8j? I had 8j on back of mine with 165/50/15 tyres and 2-1 washers. Then changed washers for shims

Yer there 7j I thought if you camber 6n2 with rear discs it doesn't really work?.. What size tyres do you recommend for them with a slight bit of stretch?

What do you mean by doesn't work? I've got discs on my Tdi and never had a issue.

I would recommend 165/50/15 again as I had them on both my 7 and my 8 and on the 7's there was just a minimal little bit of stretch but helped with lowering it

They only space the stub axle out so they can't affect the brakes, you have to strip brakes off the fit them so maybe he messed something up
