Was testing these with my 30mm spacers, might be able to fit with mad camber but don't really want camber again as it ruined my last set of nankangs[emoji22]

Hopefully going to get 20mm spacers on the back and 15mm spacers on the front should sit nicely[emoji122]

So got my Ronals wrapped in 195/45 nankangs. Look decent just needs helpers out now! Heading on holiday for a week with all my mates so will get my helpers out early August. Fitted my 30mm spacers but poked soooo much[emoji85] going to get 10mm spacers all round and have the Ronals tucking[emoji123]

If anyone has any 10mm spacers 5x100 I'm willing to swap for my 30mm and I'm also selling my BBS for £200.00ono. They're also on eBay if anyone is interested.

My second Cupra R Splitter came in the post today, still need to pick up some big screws so it doesn't fall out as easy this time :pardon: Will post pictures when it's on.

Cupra R Splitter now on with nuts bolts and washers, sits really flush now and won't pull off[emoji5]️

Front helpers are out which took a lot longer then expected. All bolts are seized so looking to get some new stuff soon.

Long time no post.

Few things gone down in the past week and a bit:

Changed my tyres on the rears to a set of Toyo Proxes. 195/40/16. Look a lot more stretched then the Nankangs - tried them on with my 30mm spacers and cambered my car again[emoji5]️ only a little bit though..

32514990027b89fd72b8822d2778a7c7.jpg

Definately need around 20mm spacers and won't scrub at all[emoji86]

Then I decided it was time to repair my backbox which has about 3948 holes in. So ordered a dual tip/backbox off eBay for around £60. Bargain!

Hopefully will get this on sometime next week[emoji1]

Lastly I am now part of the 100k club[emoji24]

Exhaust all done, new backbox done and welded in place, sounds nice and deep and not too loud.

Old backbox was a bit worn out[emoji28]

Well Well Well,

After saying I was going to sell the polo I have actually decided to keep it for a bit longer. An A3 & Insurance was just a bit out of my budget for Feb 2016 so will keep the polo for a few shows until I get the chance to let it go!

Steering wheel keeps wobbling when going 60mph+ so got a few solutions for it.. I have already:

- Changed spacers

- Extended wheel bolts

To Do:

- Get wheels re-weighed to make sure the weight is correct.

- Make sure tyre pattern is facing the right way :pardon:

Tax all paid for this month.. Another £140.00 out my bank :x but has to be done, MOT in a months time so back to MOT spec soon :aggressive:

Will give you an update when all good..

Insurance all done for another year!

Down from £2950.00 paying monthly to £1193.00 (1 years no claims + Modified insurance) Haggling does an absolute treat.

Cars going in for MOT just before Ultimate Dubs '16 so praying it was pass so I can come :sorry:

Managed to flatten a badger at 60mph at midnight the other day, splitter snapped off so had to order ANOTHER one and also got some orange tint as i'm going to tint my front lights like some other 9n owners, for example -

Car sailed through MOT with no advisories. Pretty happy with that.

While i was getting my car ready for MOT I had to remove the plates as they are "illegal" with no space and would've failed. After taking this picture of my car with no number plate it really makes me want a smoothed front bumper. So may have to invest in the future in a new bumper or spray my old one.

Hating on the MOT spec but all over for another year. Plates need to go back on, then wheels and a big detail before Ultimate Dubs 2016.

See you all there!

Spent the evening fixing up my BBS caps. They were sprayed very badly so I bought primer, gloss black paint and some lacquer.

Got to my mates garage and he took them off me and started polishing them straight away..

I was pretty impressed so decided to get them polished instead (to match with the lips)

Here's the finishing product.

All four caps took around an hour.

Wheels got re-balanced this afternoon so ready to go on the car. Tracking booked in for next Tuesday before Ultimate Dubs.

It's finally come to the time to say goodbye to the polo and send it off to a new home.

Ultimate Dubs was great yesterday seeing some familiar cars and faces :D

This car has been amazing since I first turned 17 and now three years later she has to go as I have picked up an Audi A3

VW Polo 9n 1.2 12V 2005 5 Door

107k Miles (Will not rise as no longer using)

05 Reg - Does not come with R4TUY Numberplate - Already changed to CV05 YCC just waiting for V5 to sell!!

JOMS Coilovers (No helpers in front) - sits perfectly

Cupra R Splitter

9n3 Rear Lights

New Back Box / Dual Tips

Stubby Ariel

Edge front speakers + tweeters

Sub cables to the boot - No subwoofer included

Pioneer double din stereo

Just MOT'd with no advisorys (Documents to prove)

MOT expires 14th March 2017

Car always starts first time and I have had no engine problems with it at all

Service History dating back to 30k Miles

Will come with standard Vw alloys all with 5mm+ tread (14 inch)

Slight Camber on back 2:1 Washers - does not affect tires at all.

Armrest

Cheap Insurance as only a 1.2!

Bad points

Slight gap in bumper under front side passenger headlights (Never bothered me)

Rust under boot lid (easily fixable)

Laquer peel on rear bumper and small parts on front bumper

This car has been spot on with me and the only problem i've had with services are new rear brake cylinders and a new coil spring. Engine is very quiet which is perfect.

Exhaust sounds great and is quite nippy for a 1.2 12v!

Price £950

I have some BBS Reps 16" (Staggered 8J + 9J) with Stretched Toyo Proxes all round with 6.5mm Tread each and Stance+ 5mm Spacers. I am happy to sell these on the car for £1300.00.

Cheers

Tom

T

The A3 is a great machine, you won't be sorry! We have one it's my Girls car, gonna get her some 18" split rims for it, but it's fine as is plus she can just about afford the insurance on it so not gonna go wild, lol.
