Brake Shoes

I've probably done something terribly wrong but the Haynes manual is super vague - does this look right right?

My understanding is I now take this to the car, anchor one side and pry the other side into position.

I can then put the retaining springs on top and slide the pins through the backing plate?

In an ideal world yeah, I'm building these ones from scratch unfortunately.

When fitting am i right to think you anchor one side on and then wrestle the other side in with a pry bar?

yeah seems the best way ..either that or try and fight to get a spring on

I've always struggled tbh , not a nice job to do

The only alternative, is to anchor one shoe to the back-plate - but you still have to juggle the springs and the other shoe into place.
