Wasn't 100% sure where to post a build thread on here but definitely wanted to document the transformation of my little blue turd. After basic repairs, new battery, new spark plugs, full service and an MOT it finally runs and runs well. Now to make it look the part and get things pristine and mad.

Here is my plan for what I want to do, let me know your opinions! (New to club polo)

Exterior Styling

Tail Lights - tinted £6.50 and new clear reverse left £30

Okay so finally started the mods on the Polo today, only a few minor ones but made a lot of difference to the look and performance of the car.

First off here is the car totally stock, think its a good find considering the age. only 55,000 on the clock!

Few bumps, scratches and dents but that can be expected from a 51 plate car. Rear left bumper is totally matte compared with the right side, this was from a pressure washer basically washing the clear coat away. Going to re-paint this when I find the time.

The interior wasn't so bad either, not much human slime!

First thing I did when i got the car was put in a Sony head unit and wire up an Edge 10" sub.

Next I changed the battery because I had ignition problems but it was all battery related. Old one was only giving off 60% power, so a new £35 euro car parts one did the trick.

I then switched the old blue grille with a black one (this will then match my black bump strips when I paint them)

Think it looks heaps better with some black detailing rather than completely blue.

I then did some paint touch ups, re-sprayed the rear view mirror black and also had some gammy scratches and marks on the boot plastic so I re-sprayed that black as well and it made a surprisingly big difference to the look of the car. Just much more clean.

Next I'll be attempting to touch up the bumper with spray cans, spraying the bump strips black to match the grille, possibly buying some new wheels and painting them black but might just paint my current ones black then a cheap chrome exhaust muffler to make it look nicer :)
