Hi I'm planning to run 14x6 et38 teardrops on my mk2f breadvan on 40mm drop. What tyres would people recommend I fit, I would prefer to not have stretch but low profile however I know it's gonna be tight on the rear arch which is why I'm asking. Any help is appreciated,photos even better thanks

Think my breadvan had 165/50/14 and those were teardrops

They may have been 165/45/14

 

Go to the car bible and use the wheel and tyre calculator

Youll want to get the same rolling radious as the original steels so your speedo and miles stay correct

Yea,I've been looking into that, the originals were 155 70r13 and the closest I can get to that is 165 60r14 with the Speedo reading 0.9% too quick. Not sure if that's gonna fit with the back arches tho ?

If you're not too low you should get away with a 185/50/14 on the rear with that wheel size. 

That tyre size is near identical to the standard rolling radius too.

I'm only on 40mm drop ATM, don't have any photos of how they sit do you?

There’s a website Jord called willtheyfit.com and if you know the specs of your current wheel and and the teardrops it should give you an idea of the change in sidewall and clearance from the hub etc.

New to polo land and need a hand pretty urgently please guys!

 

I have a mk2 coupe which is about to go on H&R 60/40 cup kit with baby G60 6Jx14'' ET45 4x100 wheels - I want to make sure the speedometer and mileage are all correct and that the car handles well - what brand/size tyres should I be getting?
