Great forum for Polo fanatics.

Bought an old 2000 Polo and currently in bits.

I'm sure I'll enjoy being a member.

ps How do I download attachments from the forum pages?

Very happy to become a full member if that is what it takes!

Hello Everyone

Thank you for such a warm welcome!

New to 'modern technology', my previous projects have been series Land Rovers and the most complicated thing on them was the ignition switch!

My Polo and Golf (both with AHW engines) have fancy ECU thingies which allegedly tell you what's going wrong but you need an interpreter to understand what's going on! Found lots of very useful stuff here but couldn't find how to download attachments for 'AHW throttle body adaption problem'. Can see the attachments but not selectable. I'll become a proper member and see if that gives me access.

Thanks again, happy motoring!

You'll need access to the Vagcom Software and someone with a code reader, Throttle Alignment can only be done by resetting it in Vagcom.

Welcome. There are some really helpful people on this forum. Hope you enjoy the interaction.

Back again with good news.

Bought a Foxwell NT500 code reader, checked out wiring from ECU to TB (all ok).

Decided to buy a s/h TB after all my investigations.

Plugged in, adapted it with the Foxwell code reader and all sorted!

Can get on with all the other jobs now!

Good to hear! glad it's all sorted :D
