Factory fitted / Stock Speakers on 6R RMS rating ?

My install of aftermarket radio went well, apart from the facia adapter being a tad too big for the original Polo surround. It still goes around it but there is a small gap next to the buttons at the top. So a bit of sanding may be needed.

With the sub (200w RMS) Sony HU and factory speakers I am pretty impressed, but the car audio bug has hit me now and in my haste I bought a cheap amp and wiring kit (both for £10). It's a Sony Xplop (as some folk call them) 255 - 55w RMS on both channels at 4 ohms.

I have read through various forums and guides about amps / speakers and RMS values. I am well aware that I might blow my speakers if I turn the volume up too much or have the gain turned up. I have read that the RCD210 kicked out 2x20w (RMS ?) I was just wondering what the RMS of the stock speakers are ? I've tried VW/Skoda/Seat and Audi forums to no avail, some say 17-20w other say it's alot more.

I know I should buy 50w rms speakers, components, to replace the stock speakers but I don't want to spend alot of money. It's just a wee diy project to see where everything goes and fits in. I replaced the stock speakers in my 9N so that part is ticked, next on the list is an amp to drive them.

Managed to get the (b*stard) A pillar off last night too, so I can change the tweeter (if or when) I get round to it.
