Is anyone running 14x8j on their mk2? If so, what do they look like on the car?

I'm interested to see if anyone had managed to squeeze 8js on a mk2, especially a bready, I had 7 and a bit inch wide tyres on my steels and I had millimetres either side so they'll be a silly tight fit if you're lowered

Well really I was going for a bit of poke past the arches. I didn't want the wheels to tuck under the arches if you understand?

Yea 8j is serious poke, however I doubt because of the style of bready rear arches that they'll go well.

You'd need a fairly evenly placed offset to bring the wheels away from the shocks if you want 8j but then the poke would be huge.

oops.. I'm sticking 15x8 on mine, got 15x7 on atm..

Got 9j banded steels on my Golf, this is the poke.

Golf arches are more forgiving than Bready ones. 8j seems a bit much.

I'll see if any other wheels come up first then make a decision! But I think I'd prefer to go 8j and make any adjustments to make them fit.

I used to have 6" wheels with a folded arch and only had about 10mm to spare. That was with standard VW offset. The width is important, but so is the offset.
