The Basics:

Decent Service History.

Mechanically good, interior good, body a bit tired in my opinion.

£1100 ono

Decent spec - Electric Mirrors, CD Player, Multifunction Steering Wheel, Climate Control, Rear Tints (factory)16" Alloys, Fogs, 6 speed box etc

Located in West Midlands (Walsall)

A bit more detail!

I bought this back in November to tide me over while I was looking for a B5 RS4, something I have promised myself for years. I cant find one I can afford/isn't crap at the minute, but have ended up with a Mk5 Golf GTI instead that was too good to pass up, so now this was up for sale back in Feb.

My dad had his new Golf GTD stolen, and as VW insurance wouldn't give him a courtesy car (as his was never recovered) he has been using this until his new car arrived. He has stuck 5K miles on this in the last few months and it hasn't missed a beat.

Pretty good service history prior to me, including a fair bit of SEAT dealer history. Cambelt was done in July '14.

I have put 2 brand new Falkens on it, tidied a few bits up, usual bits like new wiper blades etc, and back in Jan/Feb, had the headgasket done as it was showing signs of being on its way out - A known weak point on these after a few miles (this ended up being head skimmed and pressure tested, new headgasket, new thermostat, full flush and G12 refill, oil & filter service, and a brake servo pipe replaced while I was at it!) - As you can see, I wasnt exactly expecting to stick it back up for sale so soon!

155,000 miles, but doesn't drive like it at all. Totally standard other than the remap to 160bhp - Prior to this I had a 4.2 V8 Audi S6, and expected this to feel dog slow, but it does give a decent kick in the back on song! I have averaged over 40mpg while I have had it, including a fair bit of town work and not hanging round on the motorway - the mpg vs performance is really pretty impressive. It is pretty good fun to drive as well actually, which I wasn't particularly expecting to be honest.

Surprisingly low insurance (only group 6 in old system) even with the remap.

The body, unfortunately has had a fairly hard life from the look of it, hence the price.

It looks good from 6 foot away, but up close there are a fair few little dings, scratches etc - have put pics of the worst in. A lot would detail out, but a fair few wouldnt! Since the pictures, someone has also keyed the passenger side, so the body is not overly pretty

Interior is all pretty good, only thing giving the mileage away is the gear gaiter (again pics below) - There are a few rattles etc, but nothing unexpected from a 10 year old hatchback built in Spain! Missing the parcel shelf, but I have a polo one that fits after a fashion to cover any stuff in the boot anyway.

If I had the space, I would either be tidying up the bodywork and sticking it up for more like £2000, or to be honest we have talked about just keeping it in the family to use as a 'pool' car. However, my dad has decided I already store too many cars at his house so it needs to go.

So £1100 ono takes it! As I say, I need the space, quick, so will entertain sensible offers if you can come and get it quickly - Car is in Walsall, West Midlands (WS9 postcode).

It's not cheap because its crap, its cheap because of the bodywork and me needing the space - everything works as it should, it drives fine and is a pretty nice place to be, even on the motorway.

Any questions, just shout - either PM on here, or my number is oh seven seven three eight 265819. I might not be in front of a computer much over the next few days, so feel free to text/call (If I dont answer, just leave me a voicemail, I am running round like mad at the minute)

Cheers
