finally back In polo ownership!! I've always wanted a 6n2 GTi but insurance was silly money a few years back.. Managed to find this bargain and I'm happy with what I've got :)

It's on 130K with FSH and full gearbox rebuild and clutch at 100K. No rust atall which is good but wheels need a good refurb! Drove It from Bournemouth to Somerset yesterday and it didn't miss a beat.. I think it needs a n/s wheel bearing and I think it needs new rear shocks

Plans are..

Get wheels shot blasted and powder coated

Full deep clean and shampoo interior

Full service

Correct any issues

Take the tint off the front lights

I'm not sure whether too keep it OEM+ or get it setup on some decent coilovers along with a fast road setup and do some track days! Anyone done track days in one of these?

Progress will be slow as my bikes come first lol.. But I will get there in the end!

I'm after a set of Gti headlights if anyone knows of any?

Changed my headlights today for the original colour.. Looks so much better!! They need a polish up but for £60 I'm happy :) tyres also changed.. Just need to spray the wheels now and some little touches

New tyres have arrived, wheels are off and at the powder coaters and managed to get some coilovers..

Tried fitting the rears today but I'm not getting enough thread through at the top mount? Has anyone got a solution or am I doing something wrong?

Picked up the wheels today.. chuffed with the finish considering how bad/pitted they were before! I'm after some OEM bbs centre caps if anyone knows of any? EBay ones are out of stock at the moment

Like the wheels, I'll be fitting mine this weekend. Went for black centres and VW badges though!

why no headlight washers?

also how do u get the red stripped grill? I ordered one and it came without it, also saw a few without it

I'm not sure why it hasn't got any, it's one of the early ones being a V reg so maybe that's why?

I brought this one with it painted on, you can buy the strips on eBay to stick on

Oh yeah thats what I did, I bought a strip from eBay.

I just thought that there is some kind of OEM strip for it or something lol

Not many updates on the polo, but the leon has gone and I've got a 330ci Msport touring :)
