My gtd mk1 caddy went like stink and blew soot like a good un on raspberry, polar bears used to die at the bus stop when I drove by (fuck em, they ate my baby seal). Best fuel out there and, quite often, free. Pump diesel is crap, no sulphur. Aircraft use 105 octane and not subject to the same taxation but, like the cherry, you need to be in the trade to get it. Red is about 80p a litre if you buy it and unless you're driving a broken tipper trannie filled with household scrap, you will never be dipped.

It is, however, illegal as road fuel so you should realise that I'm lying.

My new local petrol station does ESSO 97 fuel. Chucked some of that in 2 weekends ago at 120.9p per litre. Normal petrol and dizzle at the time were both 105.9p.

 

Today I filled up the GT with the same fuel, again 120.9p per litre but normal fuel has risen to 108.9p per litre. So I'm happy that my fuel hasn't gone up any just now, but will be interesting to see when they put it up and what the increase is.
