if you can weld a nut to it then that will be cheapest

i dont think theres room for a irwin gripper in there , but they are very good and worth having around

Not sure what the access is like but these work great on the siezed allen bolts for the VWll caliper bolts

That's great thanks guys...@nige8021, I hadn't seen those before, looks like they are a quite narrow shank, so could do the trick, I'll look them up, thanks.

I'm not too keen on the idea of welding anywhere near the fuel pump!

Knock the next size up star or spline bit in, put a 3/8" T-bar on and give that a swift whack in the right direction.

Did you get them off?

I'd have drained the pump then ground (angle grinder) off the heads (and as much of the faulty pump body as necessary).

Once the pump is out of the way and the tension is off, the bolts are not usually too difficult to remove.
