  • Haha yeah, that sums it up really. Well if anything gets off the ground I'll let you know! I'm of the same opinion really, I'm happy to travel to a meet but it's a bit naff if everyone leaves after

  • It would look bloody huge in comparison! At least it's German.

Theirs a few of us down the southwest, a couple from mk1-3 polo owners are down thier, the best polo meet is the polo social held in June :)

I never managed to get any going. Would pop along in the Golf though if we could get a few together.

Anyone local fancy getting something together? Doesn't have to be strictly Polo's (I don't even own one any more) but it would be good to meet some people in the area!

Sounds like a plan id be up for it :good:

If a couple more people crop up and say they're keen we can get on and arrange something. :)

If you read this thread and are keen, post your location, then we can work out somewhere central!

I'm in Staines upon Thames but I don't mind a bit of a travel, I should have my polo on the road soon but I may miss the first meet..

Also I would probably only travel that far towards Cornwall way if there was a good turn out

Given the trouble I've had in the last year trying to get ANYONE to come together in the SW, I doubt that will happen.

I think the most success I've had is about 10 of us at a Mk2 meet near Plymouth.

Haha yeah, that sums it up really.

Personally I think my car is ready for some good long drives and some meets now, I do however have a lot on during Christmas and Beginning of January with birthdays up in Newcastle. My boot will be sprayed in December so Ill confidently show the car at a meet lol but looking at back end of January in the peak of winter now!

Can we organize something for end of Jan or beginning of Feb??? I'm just west of London so really somewhere between here and the many members further south west in cornwall and the likes would be ideal

Is say the polo show is the 1 to go to but I'm sure we could arrange something, are you on mk1-3 polo owners wizardmanjm?

I'm on it but I check it maybe once a week lol, really can't get into it tbh.

It would be good to do a few before polo show as it gives me a chance to also stretch the polo's legs and see how it's doing

Cp are doing a rooling road day early next year?

And fair enough about stretching the polos legs lol

That could be something to do then. Hopefully it won't blow up on the rolling road

I'm now two cars away from having a Polo, don't think many people who'd go to these meets would approve of my skid car

Bit late I know, but I'm a local in the Southwest (Cornwall) and I'm sure a meet could be aranged, the polo scene is starting to rise down here anyway, mainly because of young lads, but they seem to be nice. I need to get to know the locals really. I just bomb around in a group of 5 aha. I know plenty of people that would go, it's just having the place to get the name out..

I know I've prob said this allready, but the polo social is prob the best event going :) I'm keen for bringing my 176bhp polo beast out to exeter plymouth or furthur depending on what people wanna do
