So, thought I'd start a thread and get some advice from anyone who has built something similar ..

Purchased the car (a 1990 mk2 bready) 12 months ago as a daily as my other vwis a bay window camper and not used daily.

Well, you know how these thinks start, buy a daily, can't leave it alone, the itch starts a scratch and a project is born.

So this is how it started

An 80/80 lowering kit was added and ARB blocks.

Now what happened next, some may criticise and I've heard all the " roll cage and bucket seats don't make a race car" jokes, but it was the look I was after and I'm all for doing the things you like and feel comfortable with, so constructive criticism only please. It's like marmite.

Then some forged le castellets.

Put on a full straight through stainless system and a four branch.

So this is how it looked up until last week.

While all this was happening, I was buying bit of the forum and building this. GT engine with CBR 600 carbs

Looks good on the Castellets, what size are they? 14" or 15"?

There 14, but had to stretch some 155x 55x 14 to clear the springs and pull the arches slightly
