how did you get your rear badgle off? i tried to take the plastic off the inside of the boot but i nearly snapped a clip, is there a way of getting it off? And when i get the badge off, did you force seperate at to paint between the VW?

The badge comes off as same as the 'Polo' and 'GTi' badges come off I think. They're just held on by some glue or something. I actually didn't pull mine off - the bloke who did my bumpers did it for me.

Oh, cheers anyway, looks like I'm gettin screwdriver on it then!!

Just like the 'POLO' and 'GTI' badges, the rear 'VW' badge is simply stuck on. You can heat it up a little with a hairdryer or heat gun before taing it off, or just go at it carefully with your bare hands like I did and many others have done in the past. I just got a little bit of purchase at the top of the badge on the rubber edge, and carefully pulled it until I could get my fingers in behind the badge, after that it was easy.

No need for that screwdriver mate. And no need to strip the boot's interior trim either

Mine wouldnt shift so got in off enough to wedge a screwdriver between pad and badge and then levered it off

no damage done to car due to the massive pad of glue lol

oh lol ok, dunt matter now I've left it in the capable hands of the guy spraying it :)

@ volkswagen16v: Do you mean the black b-pillers? If so I didn't do them, the bloke who did my bumpers did. He said it was a fiddly job which I can imagine and that's why I didn't attempt them myself 'cause I'm not the most patient person in the world

Hi mate,

very nice motor

The ride height looks perfect, how much has it been lowered and what is the ride like now, compared to when it was standard. I have lowered mine 35mm and it needs 2 be done more, but I'm not sure how much because i dont want to get to a stage where the ride is really hard.

Your advice would be much appreciated

If you read the very first post you'll see that it's 60mm . As for ride comfort there's not much difference to what it was like as standard to be honest. Cheers for the comments
